Srinagar: Two militants were killed on Thursday in a gunfight with security forces in a Jammu and Kashmir village in Sopore district, police said.

The gun battle started on Wednesday when security forces received a tip off about militant presence in the Gund Brath village.

As the cordon was tightened around their hideout, the militants started firing triggering the encounter.
