Srinagar: Two militants were killed on Thursday in a gunfight with security forces in a Jammu and Kashmir village in Sopore district, police said.
The gun battle started on Wednesday when security forces received a tip off about militant presence in the Gund Brath village.
As the cordon was tightened around their hideout, the militants started firing triggering the encounter.
Both militants were killed on Thursday and weapons were recovered from their possession, a police official said.
