On his India visit since October 1921, Edward, the Prince of Whales, arrived in Jammu on March 2, 1922. He was recieved at Jammu railway station by Maharaja Pratap Singh, Raja Hari Singh and other officials of the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The Prince of Whales was then escorted to Maharaja’s cantonment campt to Satwari. Jammu city was then in the grip of plague outbreak.
