BUDGAM, June 14: The district administration Budgam on Monday directed the owners of Brick Kilns falling within the district to ensure that all the labourers working under them are vaccinated within four days.
The administration has also stated that action will be taken against those who will not comply with the orders.
An order, a copy of which lies with the news agency reads that “it has been reported that the owners of Brick Kilns are not taking interest in COVID vaccination of the labourers working in their Brick Kilns, and as such putting to risk the lives of these labourers.”
“Therefore, it is enjoined upon the owners of these Brick Kilns in the jurisdiction of District Budgam to take necessary steps for vaccination of these labourers. They shall contact Chief Medical Officer Budgam/ Block Medical Officers for vaccination of these labourers within 04 days positively,” the order, issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza added.
It further reads that any violation of this order shall attract penal action under the Disaster Management Act, 2005—(KNO)
