14339 works completed: Kundal stresses further on timely realisation of set targets

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, convened a meeting of RDD officers to review the progress of MGNREGA works taken up in the financial year 2022-23.

The meeting was informed that against 17,702 works taken up this financial year, 14,339 were completed generating 153214 mandays so far.

The DDC urged the officers to put in dedicated efforts to effectively implement RDD schemes on the ground level to provide necessary benefits to the public.

He also directed them to complete all ongoing works within the set deadlines, while adhering to all quality parameters to meet the developmental expectations of the rural population.

While reviewing the progress of works taken up under District capex, it was informed that 3500 works are in progress.

The DDC also reviewed the status of construction of Segregation sheds and soakage pits in the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; Executive Engineer REW, Zahir Ahmed and Block Development Officer Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat.
