SRINAGAR: Child Welfare Committee has sealed an unregistered charitable trust in the Kral Khud area of Habba Kadal, Srinagar and rescued 12 children, who were shifted to the Child Care institutions.

The trust has been sealed while 12 children present at the home have been rescued and shifted to Child Care institutions, she said, adding that according to them 25 children have been sent back to their homes.
“The home namely Sheikh-ul-Aalam Charitable Trust was functioning without registration for the last eight months and thus has been sealed. We have already sealed one such home with a similar name in Jawahar Nagar and it seems that it is a similar home,” she said.
Although these homes are pivotal, we will never appreciate them without registration,” Chairperson said, adding that they met the Chairperson of the trust as well, but they failed to provide any valid document and sought time. “We have given them time to provide the valid documents but till then the home has been sealed,” she said.
