10-day summer vacation for schools in Kashmir from Monday

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Friday announced summer vacation from July-04 to July-14 in winter zones of Kashmir division.

Principal Secretary, School Education Department, B K Singh in this regard issued the formal orders. Singh said, “It is ordered that all the government educational institutions and recognized private schools upto higher secondary level functioning in the Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu division shall observe summer vacation with immediate effect from 4th of July to 14th of July.”

He said that the orders were issued in view of the ongoing heat wave and the letters received from the directors of both Jammu and Kashmir regions. (KNO)
