SRINAGAR: In Jammu and Kashmir 1.77 lakh treatments have been authorised under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Scheme, a 38 page booklet issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reveals.
The booklet also reveals that after 40 years, the work on Shahpur-Kandi dam project was resumed while the work on Ratle Hydropower Project is also being resumed.
“Around 4.4 lakh beneficiaries have been verified in Jammu & Kashmir under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Scheme. Under this scheme, 1.77 lakh treatments have been authorised in the hospitals of Jammu & Kashmir, for which, an amount of Rs 146 crores has been authorized,” It reads.
The booklet reads that Jammu and Kashmir is at the forefront in availing benefits under the PM Kisan Scheme in terms of beneficiary percentage as a ratio of total population. “Under this scheme, 12.03 lakh beneficiaries have been included so far,” it said. The booklet reads that under PM Awas Yojana (rural), 1.34 lakh homes have been sanctioned.
“Work on Shahpur – Kandi dam project, which was stalled for 40 years, has been started again. Ratle hydropower project work is also being resumed,” the booklet said.
It said that under the Prime Minister’s development package 2015, of about Rs 80,000 crore, 20 projects have been completed and the rest are at different stages of implementation—(KNO)
