South Kashmir’s Anantnag, which is considered a stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party, didn’t disappoint National Conference when its patriarch Farooq Abdullah addressed a convention on Saturday, together with other senior leaders of the party. Despite biting cold, hundreds of people turned up at the National Conference convention. The National Conference is upbeat and hopeful of forming the next government as its key Kashmir competitor Peoples Democratic Party suffers serious reverses after fall of Mehbooba Mufti government.
